On December 17, 2010, a new federal law was signed into effect that requires all English language training programs that are SEVIS-certified and issue Forms I-20 to enroll F-1 visa students to be accredited by a Department of Education recognized agency. Schools who are not accredited have one year to become approved for accreditation.
